The Kodaikanal Lake

The Kodaikanal Lake is the heart of Kodaikanal and one of the town’s most iconic attractions. This beautiful star-shaped, man-made lake is surrounded by lush greenery and is a favorite destination for boating, cycling, horse riding, and leisurely walks. Created in the 19th century, it has become the town’s defining landmark and one of the most visited attractions in Tamil Nadu, known for its cool climate, scenic setting, and recreational activities.
